Calculator data and data you provide

Your starting net worth, monthly contribution, annual return, calculated results and assumption history are processed in your browser. The application has no financial calculation backend. Financial inputs, results and calculation history are not sent to a server or included in custom analytics events.

Local financial calculations, technical website measurements and voluntary email messages are different data categories. If you choose to include financial information in an email, it becomes part of that message; the calculator does not send it automatically.

Data saved in your browser

Tracking starts automatically when no saved period exists. Its starting amount, start time, tracking anchor and history of accepted assumption changes are saved in localStorage in this browser. This lets the tracker restore the same period after a reload or later visit. Unconfirmed starting-amount drafts are not persisted.

Update speed, the custom projection horizon and the custom target amount are saved separately as interface preferences when you choose them. Both language versions use the same local data on this website. Local storage is specific to this browser and device; it is not an account or a cloud backup.

Website delivery and security

Loading the website makes ordinary HTTP requests for its pages and assets. Hosting and security services may process an IP address, browser and device information, the requested page, request time and security-related technical information to deliver the site, protect it and investigate faults.

This technical request processing is separate from the financial calculations and locally saved preferences. Protect access to your browser and device, especially on a shared computer. No website or storage method can provide an absolute security guarantee.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Net Worth Live uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for general measurement of site usage and performance. It collects page-use and loading-performance measurements from the browser and sends them to Cloudflare, helping us understand how the website is used and where its technical performance can improve.

Financial inputs, calculated results, saved assumptions and calculation history are not included in custom measurement events. The application does not add custom financial analytics events or advertising profiles.

Cookies and browser storage

The calculator does not set cookies. It uses localStorage, which is different from cookies, to remember the calculation period and interface choices. It does not set analytics, advertising or preference cookies.

According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies or browser storage and does not fingerprint visitors. This describes Web Analytics, not every hosting or security function: necessary technical security cookies may be used by those functions. Ordinary HTTP requests can still carry an IP address and other technical data.

Email contact

If you email us, we process your email address, any name you provide, the message content and other information you choose to include. We use these details to answer your message and handle related follow-up. Clicking an email link alone does not send a message.

Please avoid sending unnecessary financial or sensitive personal information. Technical email providers take part in transmitting, receiving and storing messages. There is no contact form that automatically submits calculator values.

Purposes and legal basis

Local browser storage preserves the calculation period and your interface choices. Technical processing supports delivery, security and troubleshooting; general analytics helps improve site usage and performance; email details are used to respond to your contact.

Where personal data is processed for operating and protecting the service, understanding general use or handling enquiries, the basis is Fluidified’s legitimate interest in those purposes, taking your interests and rights into account. This is not a basis for unrelated advertising or profiling. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest as described below.

Service providers

Cloudflare provides Web Analytics measurement. The hosting and security services delivering the site and the technical email services handling messages also participate in their respective processing. Their roles are limited to the services they provide; the calculator has no financial account integration.

Personal data is not sold or disclosed for marketing. The local financial calculation is not a server-side customer record. The provider’s own terms describe its technical processing; Cloudflare’s relevant documentation is linked below.

Retention

Local calculation data and interface preferences remain in this browser until you change or delete them or the browser clears the stored data. Clearing calculation data removes its previous history; interface preferences remain separate. Private browsing, clearing site data or a storage failure can prevent later recovery.

Email messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and reasonable follow-up. Longer retention may be necessary for a legal obligation, a justified claim or investigating misuse. Technical and analytics data follow the relevant service’s settings and retention practices; we do not assign a single retention period to all such data.

Removing saved data

The “Clear data and start over…” control removes the saved financial calculation period and its history after confirmation. A fresh calculation starts automatically with default settings. Update speed, the custom projection horizon and the custom target amount remain saved. To remove all local website data, including these interface preferences, clear this site’s storage in your browser settings.

Clearing browser data does not delete an email you have sent or technical data already processed by service providers. For requests concerning personal data held outside your browser, use the contact details on this page.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to information about processing, access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and objection to processing based on legitimate interest. Not every right applies in every situation.

Send requests using the contact details on this page. Describe the request without including unnecessary sensitive information. We do not maintain a central copy of your locally saved calculation; you can manage that data through the calculator and browser settings.

Supervisory authority

You can lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority if you consider that your personal data has been processed unlawfully. In Finland, the authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.

International processing

Cloudflare operates internationally, and processing related to its services may take place outside the EU or EEA. This does not mean that your locally saved financial calculation is transferred there by the application.

Applicable transfer safeguards depend on the service and transfer. Cloudflare describes mechanisms such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses in its privacy and data processing terms. You can contact us for more information about the processing relevant to your request.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the service, its data processing or applicable requirements change. The date on this page identifies the latest version. Material new processing will be described here when it is introduced.
